The Application Process

Sealing your pavers is a very straightforward process.

First, the pavers need to be cleaned. This can be accomplished with a pressure sprayer or a floor buffer and cleaning pad with a cleaner / degreaser.

Second, once the pavers are clean (and dry, if you're using our solvent based sealer), you apply the sealer with either a paint roller (with a tight nap), or with a 2 gallon chemical sprayer commonly found at the hardware store. We prefer the sprayer method as it is quicker and easier. The first time your pavers are sealed, you will typically need to apply 2 or 3 coats to seal the pours and fill in the divots and low areas and build up an acceptable "film" layer. The sealer will dry within about 30 minutes after being applied, so you time between coats while you are waiting to re-coat is short. You will want to use a "cut-in" brush and apply sealer to the edges and areas where you want to control where the product goes so as not to get it on walls or other structures.

That's it! Coating Pavers is one of the simplest and easiest coating jobs there is.
